Sample Material

Standard sample materials

pluriBead can be used to isolate targets from a wide spectrum of biological fluids such as whole blood, Buffy Coat, cell culture and primary cell solution. The incubation time and especially the yield of targets depends on the:

  • sample material used
  • amount of targets cells
  • receptor density on the surface of the cells

Whole blood

Mix fresh whole blood with EDTA and pluriBeads and incubate sample up to 30 minutes. Pour the bead-sample mix onto the pluriStrainer and wash with buffer.

Isolate up to 10 million specific targets directly from whole blood in less than 60 minutes.

Isolate 10 million specific cells with one sieve in less than 60 minutes.

Transfer whole blood into a mixing tube (1). Add EDTA and pluriBeads (2). Incubate the mixture up to 30 minutes (3). Pour the mixture onto the pluriStrainer, wash off unwanted material and detach the cells (4). The entire cell separation takes no longer than 1 hour.

Buffy Coat

Before starting the target cell isolation, filter the entire Buffy Coat (e.g. leukocyte concentrate) with the provided pluriStrainer to remove interfering cell and platelets aggregates. Afterwards, add pluriBeads to Buffy Coat and incubate 5-15 minutes. Pour the bead-sample mix onto the sieve and wash with buffer.

Isolate up to 50 million specific targets directly from 50 ml Buffy Coat in less than 45 minutes.

Isolate 50 million specific cells with one sieve in less than 45 minutes.

Pre-filter Buffy Coat and transfer it into a mixing tube (1). Add pluriBeads (2). Incubate the mixture 5-15 minutes (3). Pour the mixture onto the pluriStrainer, wash off unwanted material and detach the cells (4). The entire cell separation takes no longer than 45 minutes.

Isolate up to 100 million specific targets directly from 50 ml Buffy Coat in less than 45 minutes with the double volume of beads.

Isolate 100 million specific cells with the double volumen of pluriBead and two sieve in less than 45 minutes.

Pre-filter Buffy Coat and transfer it into a mixing tube (1). Add the double volume of pluriBeads(2). Incubate the mixture 5-15 minutes (3). Split the sample onto to sieves, wash off unwanted material and detach the cells (4). The entire cell separation takes no longer than 45 minutes.

Cell Culture & primary cell solution from tissue

Isolate up to 10 million specific targets directly from cell culture / tissue in less than 60 minutes.

Sample material

  • Cell Suspensions from homogenates (spleen, liver, lymph nodes etc.) 
  • Bone marrow
  • Cell Culture

Pre-filter sample material to remove debris, pieces of tissue, cell clusters, bone pieces etc. (1)*. Add pluriBeads (2). Incubate the mixture (3). Pour the mixture onto the pluriStrainer, wash off unwanted material and detach the cells (4). The entire cell separation takes no longer than 60 minutes.
