Details
Proteinase K is an endoprotease that cleaves peptide bonds on the carboxyl side of aliphatic, aromatic, or hydrophobic amino acids. Proteinase K is a broad-spectrum serine protease active under denaturing conditions and stable at elevated temperatures. The smallest peptide that this enzyme can hydrolyze is a tetrapeptide.
