pluriSpin - negative cell isolation for untouched cells

pluriSpin is an efficient and gentle method to obtain highly pure cells or cell populations for research without directly influencing the cells by labeling or mechanical processes.

How does cell separation with pluriSpin work?

pluriSpin is a negative cell separation system that does not require magnetic particles or expensive columns. All you need is 50 µl pluriSpin /ml sample and a suitable density gradient medium such as PBMC Spin Medium.

What is the advantage of pluriSpin technology?

This method isolates viable, pristine and highly purified cells in one step. The risk of activating or damaging the target cells is minimized by binding all unwanted cells to our surface-modified pluriSpin particles instead.

What can be done with the enriched cells?

Cells isolated with the pluriSpin system are immediately available for your applications such as cell stimulation and cytotoxicity assays. Since the isolated cells are functional with minimal manipulation, they are perfect for cultivation, differentiation, compound screening and other HTS applications that require viable, functional cells with minimal manipulation.

How do you isolate cells with pluriSpin?

To separate the desired cells from whole blood, buffy coat or umbilical cord blood, the sample is first incubated with the appropriate amount of pluriSpin. pluriSpin binds unwanted cells. A density gradient centrifugation is then performed. The bead-labeled cells pellet during centrifugation, leaving pristine, highly purified target cells at the interface between the plasma and the density gradient medium. The purified cells are then aspirated from the interface between the plasma and density gradient medium into a new tube.
