The Re-Strainer 1 µm has two female Luer connections and can therefore be used as an in-line filter. The Luer connections of the filter and lid can be closed with Luer caps. This makes the Re-Strainer a closed system and therefore suitable for sample transport. If only the outlet of the filter is closed, sample material can be incubated in the 6 ml reservoir on the sieve.

The Re-Strainer is available with 11 mesh sizes The mesh is firmly injected into the strainer body and thus offers enough stability to filter sample material with positive and negative pressure.

Features

Connect

Two female Luer connectors allow easy connection of disposable syringes, tube adapters, connectors or three-way stopcocks. Several strainers can be connected together via the connections to form a cascade. 

Direct homogenization of samples

A pestle can be used to efficiently disrupt sample material directly on the mesh. 

Transportation and storage

The luer connections can be closed with luer caps to prevent leakage. The sample can therefore be easily transported or stored. The Re-Strainers can also be placed in a 50 ml tube. 

Support through vacuum

The sample material can be aspirated out of the strainer via the Luer connection using a disposable syringe or negative pressure.
